Q: Why is my hair & scalp so dry?

A: One of the number one reasons the scalp & hair can be dry is excessive shampooing & to add to that, improper moisturizing & hydration routines! Curly hair should be shampooed no more than twice a month unless of course there's a specific reason to such as: (swimming, excessive dirt & debris, etc.) When shampooing always follow the 2:1 method, which is two (2) shampoos & one (1) conditioner. The first shampoo removes the first layer of buildup out of the hair rather it's sweat or actual dirt &

Q: What is the best way to hydrate my hair & scalp?

A: The best way is to use Kavii's Hair Potion as a pre-shampoo treatment. Apply Kavii's (HP) thoroughly directly on the scalp, using your hands gently massage in & pull through to the ends of the hair strands, allow to sit for 30 minutes under the dryer or 45 minutes without heat. Using the 2:1 method, shampoo hair thoroughly, apply a small amount of Kavii's (HP) as a post-shampoo treatment & style hair as desired.

Q: Do you offer lock re-attachment as a service?

A: Yes! Full lock maintenance, repair, & re-attachment is available. I offer instant locks (natural hair only), starter coil twist locks, re-twist, interlocking, ACV-L detoxing, & steam cleansing.

Q: How long does my hair have to be to braid or to get locks?

A: For basic cornrows, the hair must be at least 2.5 inches for curly/coily hair types, for straighter hair types 4-6 inches. For locks, the hair should be at least one inch to start on coily hair types.

Q: Do you travel?

A: I do offer house calls at a flat rate of $100 travel fee! Although I have a mobile salon, it is not used for residential clients. This means that I will work inside your home & will need to feel comfortable & have a clean space to work! All travel fees must be paid upfront to secure the appointment!

Q: Do you cut hair?

A: Yes! I am a one stop shop pretty much, I am a licensed Barber & Cosmetologist, providing some of the finest work around.

Q: What kind of braids do you offer?

A: I no longer offer box braids or individuals with added extensions. Due to the number of years I've worked as a braider, I've decided to take care of my hands more & limit the braiding services I offer. I now focus on basic cornrows, basic design cornrows, two strand twist & large - jumbo size box braids with natural hair only.
